Our Dreadlocks

How long does your hair have to be?
If you want dreadlocks, then your hair must be at least 4 inches long. Please remember that immediately after you have your locs installed, your hair will stick up and feel stiff if you have very short hair. They will soften up as they mature.

How do we create our dreadlocks?
I never use anything else other than a simple crochet hook to start dreads. I believe this process should be kept 100 percent natural and organic.

How long does dreadlock installation take?
Depending on how long your hair is and how thick you would like your dreads to be, the process will varies in how long it takes. Creating dreads can take between 3 and 12 hours.

How long does dreadlock maintenance take?
Dreadlock maintenance takes between 2 to 4 hours depending on the number of locks and how much loose hair you have. The dreadlocks will be neatened and tightened using a crochet hook.

I don’t use any chemical, wax or glue.
Everything is 100% natural and organic.
I recommend Maintenance every 3-4 months.

How do you maintain locs?
To start with lets just dispel the myth that people with dreadlocks do not wash their hair ! I recommend that to maintain a healthy scalp and odour-free dreadlocks, you should wash your dreads at least once a week using a residue-free dreadlock shampoo, However immediately after install I suggest 10 days before your first wash. After each wash palm-rolling on damp locs helps to compress and tighten the knots in your dreads and prevents the formation of lumps and clumps.
